Mayor Aldo DiCarlo has been a lifelong resident of the Town of Amherstburg. He is the second child of Giovanni and Lucia DiCarlo born on October 26, 1967. Aldo has three siblings’ two sisters Giuseppina and Marisa and a brother Gino. In 1981 Aldo attended General Amherst High School. While attending General Amherst Aldo obtained a Stock Clerk position at the A & P Amherstburg Store, a position he maintained until 1999. Upon graduating from General Amherst in 1986 Aldo enrolled in St. Clair College and pursued his studies Electrical/ Electronics Engineering Technology Program. He graduated and received a diploma in that program in 1990.
In 1996 Aldo began DiCarlo Technologies, a local business in the technology service industry. In 1997 Aldo began his employment with the University of Windsor. Aldo is presently a Physics Laboratory Coordinator with the University. While at the University Aldo was elected by his peers to represent them as President of CUPE Local 1393, a position he held from 2000 to 2011. Aldo has also sat for 2 terms on the University Of Windsor Board Of Governors. The Board of Governors is responsible for the oversight of all operational aspects of the University. In 2012 Aldo became a National Representative for the Canadian Union of Public Employees as an Educator and Facilitator.
|Giovanni (John) Miceli is recognized and valued as a strong leader, with exceptional operational and financial management skills. John is a highly motivated, creative, strategic, and versatile individual. After a nationwide recruitment John was named Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Amherstburg on September 9, 2014. As Chief Administrative Officer of the Town of Amherstburg John is responsible for the general control and management of the Town’s affairs. John is responsible to ensure the Town operates in an efficient and effective manner. With 26 years of progressive municipal experience gained through his employment at the Town of Amherstburg as the Chief Administrative Officer and at the City of Windsor working in the areas of Finance, Public Works, and Parks and Facilities John provides a wealth of knowledge to the Town.|
